Have you noticed more trucks on the road? It is not just your imagination; but rather, a steady increase in truck sales that has reached record highs since 2015. Lower gas prices are key to the recent uptick in truck sales.

Of the new vehicles sold, 63% of them are trucks. This is up from 59% of the market last year. Also, the Ford F-Series line of trucks is consistently the #1 vehicle sold in America. This new trend has swept Chevrolet Silverado into the #2 slot. RAM trucks are still lagging behind Chevy in sales by 65,000 units this year, but the automaker did increase its sales by 29% in September and 12% in October. Pre-owned truck sales are also on the rise. Sales of compact trucks are up by 10.1%. Additionally, sales of heavy trucks are up by 4.4%.
